Art Director, Ted Lamisere, Designs Piece of Arts for Local Businesses
Ted Lamisere is an art director at SK+G Advertising where he designs and creates advertising for luxury resort properties. His work includes everything from building a brand to creating a specific campaign for a company.
Working with different clients, he enjoys the brand phase of his job. “Learning about a client, what their goals are, what they do and specialize in and being able to adapt that to a brand that is true to that company I think is kind of an amazing process,” said Lamisere.
Since he can remember, he was always creative but had to figure out how to use his creative ability to make a living. Lamisere got his degree in graphic design from the Art Institute of Las Vegas and did design work in Georgia before moving to Las Vegas.
He describes his style as clean yet not confining to a particular look but rather exploring and adapting to the client. Lamisere incorporates his experiences into his style by taking in different aspects and characteristics of the people he meets, the clients he works with and the places he visits.
When he first arrived, he wasn’t sure if there was a major art community in Las Vegas but was pleasantly surprised. Lamisere describes Las Vegas as similar to Atlanta but “unique in that people from all around the world are here on a daily basis and on those terms, there are a lot more creatives here.”
More specifically with Henderson, he sees it as a place to understand the city historically. “People assume Las Vegas is very trendy and transient, where places like Henderson show you the history behind the city,” said Lamisere, “and I think that pours back into things creatively individually and as a community as well.”
Lamisere’s portfolio includes creating the logo for Sunny Photography, website design for IntroDeuce Las Vegas, magazine design for Fit First Magazine and package design for Cherpys gummy candy. To check out Lamisere’s work visit, tedtalksdesign.com.
