Henderson Police Host Talk Shop with Cops
Henderson, Nev. – Henderson residents are invited to meet the people behind the badge and learn more about what police officers are doing to help keep their community safe during the Henderson Police Department’s Talk Shop with Cops.
WHAT: Talk Shop with Cops
WHEN: Thursday, May 11
7 a.m.-9 a.m.
WHERE: Starbucks
125 N. Stephanie St. (North Stephanie Street and Wigwam Parkway)
The format for Talk Shop with Cops has been modified from a formal presentation to a more casual context in which officers meet and speak one-on-one with the residents they protect and serve. The format allows community members to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know the officers that work in their neighborhood, in a relaxed setting.
“Building a partnership with our residents to identify and solve neighborhood problems is the foundation of effective community policing,” Henderson Police Chief Patrick Moers said. “Holding events at neighborhood hangouts helps to encourage that collaboration between community members and police officers.”
Talk Shop with Cops are hosted at different times and locations throughout Henderson during the year. For more information on upcoming events, visit cityofhenderson.com.
