Mayor Launches New Series of Monthly “March On” Community Meetings
Henderson, Nev. – Mayor Debra March is launching a new series of monthly community meetings, each highlighting a different topic of interest to Henderson residents.
“I’m looking forward to hosting these monthly ‘March On’ meetings and to bringing our community closer together. These events will also give me the chance to meet with members of the community and to listen to their comments and concerns,” said March.
The Mayor’s first monthly “March On” meeting will be a public safety summit held on July 12 from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Henderson Multigenerational Center located at 250 S. Green Valley Pkwy.
“Public Safety is one the top priorities for the residents of Henderson and the businesses in our community. The upcoming public safety summit will provide residents with the opportunity to meet police officers and firefighters and to learn more about a variety of important public safety issues,” said March.
The Mayor’s monthly “March On” meetings are designed to encourage an open dialogue between neighbors and city leaders regarding issues of importance to those who live in the City of Henderson. Mayor March will be joined at the events by city staff that will be on hand to answer questions and provide information to residents.
August’s “March On” meeting will feature a back to school theme and will include information from the Henderson Parks and Recreation department on upcoming events and activities for both adults and students. The event will be held The event will be held on August 10 from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Whitney Ranch Recreation Center located at 1575 Galleria Dr.
