Starr Avenue Roadway Project Completion

The City of Henderson will officially open the new Starr Avenue roadway between St. Rose Parkway and Bermuda Road on December 8 improving access to Interstate 15 and helping to alleviate traffic along South Eastern Avenue. The $6.29 million project also includes new pavement and pavement rehabilitation between Bermuda Road and South Las Vegas Boulevard, new pavement markings and installation of new storm drain facilities.

The project received $4.3 million in funding through Fuel Revenue Indexing (FRI). Through FRI, revenue is generated every time a motorist fuels their vehicle, and a portion of what they pay at the pump helps to create jobs by funding transportation and public safety projects throughout Clark County.

An additional $1.8 million in flood control improvements was funded by the Clark County Regional Flood Control District.
