TNT Junior Leader Program Accepting Applications For Summer Placement

Henderson, Nev. –Teens-N-Training (TNT), the City of Henderson’s junior leader program, is accepting applications for the summer through 6 p.m. on April 7. TNT provides teens with hands-on learning and training experience emphasizing leadership, responsibility, customer service and teamwork.
Participation is $110 per teen (ages 14 and 15) and includes uniform shirts. A complete program overview, submission guidelines and printable application form are available at cityofhenderson.com.
TNT trains teens to become future recreation leaders and to provide support to the city’s youth summer camps and programs, which are hosted at recreation centers throughout the city. Summer programs serve children of various ages and abilities.
Teens are selected through a formal interview process that provides an opportunity to experience what an actual job interview might be like. Selected applicants are given summer assignments based on their skills, interests, preferred location and availability.
TNT volunteer service hours may qualify for community service credit with the Clark County School District. Teens are encouraged to contact their school guidance counselors prior to the end of the school year to confirm school participation and to receive advance approval.
