Henderson Chamber of Commerce launches Campaign School

HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce is known locally, statewide and nationally for its strong legislative presence. To help demystify the political process for anyone interested in pursuing it but unsure how to go about it, the chamber will host its inaugural Campaign School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at the Wildhorse Golf Club, 2100 W. Warm Springs Road.
Campaign School is an educational, non-partisan program designed for individuals considering running for boards and commissions as well as local, county, regional and state public office.
“There are many motivated, qualified people interested in running for office who have no idea how to get started,” said Amber Stidham, government affairs director for the Henderson Chamber of Commerce. “Our goal with Campaign School is to help level the playing field.”
Education will be provided by Carrara Nevada Government Affairs, Advanced Micro Targeting, Sinclair Strategies, The Nevada Independent, Nevada State Sen. Becky Harris and the Henderson Chamber Issues Mobilization Political Action Committee (IMPAC).
The event is sponsored by Carrara Nevada Government Affairs, Gordon Law, and Trish Nash Realty. The cost to attend – which includes lunch – is $45 for Henderson Chamber members and $55 for non-members. Advanced registration is required.
